Online Account Access FAQs

How do I access my PERA account online?

From the PERA homepage on, click on the button in the upper-right corner that says, “Member/Retiree Login.” You can also click here.  If this is your first time logging into your account online, click on “Register as a new user” and you’ll be walked through creating an online account.

I don’t remember my User ID or password; how can I log in?

If you don’t remember your User ID, click on the link below the login form that says, “Forgot User ID?” You’ll need your email address or Social Security number to recover your User ID.

If you don’t remember your password, click on “Forgot password?” You’ll need to know your User ID to reset your password.

What is multifactor authentication?

Multifactor authentication (MFA) is an enhanced security system that adds an extra layer of protection to your account. With MFA, you access your information online using not only your User ID and password, but also a security code or push notification sent to your home or mobile phone. This makes it more difficult for an unauthorized person to access your information.
