Colorado PERA has over 500 affiliated employers including the State of Colorado, all school districts, the judicial system, and many municipalities and local government entities.

PERA relies on employers to enroll eligible employees for membership, remit contributions on members’ PERA-includable salary, complete necessary forms, and provide other information necessary for the successful operation of PERA. Active members are eligible to enroll in PERACare if their employer has joined the program and they meet the employer's eligibility requirements.

PERAPlus and DC Plans

The PERAPlus 401(k) and 457 Plans are voluntary retirement savings programs offered by PERA. The PERA DC Plan is available for certain employees who are eligible for PERAChoice.

Life Insurance

PERA offers an optional decreasing term life insurance program administered by Unum.
