Active members are eligible to enroll in PERACare if their employer has joined the program and they meet the employer's eligibility requirements.

PERAPlus and DC Plans

The PERAPlus 401(k) and 457 Plans are voluntary retirement savings programs offered by PERA. The PERA DC Plan is available for certain employees who are eligible for PERAChoice.

Life Insurance

PERA offers an optional decreasing term life insurance program administered by Unum.

Don’t forget that eligible retirees and benefit recipients will receive an annual increase with their July 31 benefit payment.

For most eligible retirees and benefit recipients, the annual increase (AI) to be paid on July 31 will be 2 percent. Other eligible retirees and benefit recipients, specifically those who began PERA membership on and after January 1, 2007, will have an AI of 1 percent.
