PERACare Changes for 2027
As part of our ongoing commitment to our retirees, we carefully select carrier partners based on their ability to deliver exceptional customer service, ensure continuity of care, provide strong provider networks, and offer reliable, easy-to-navigate coverage that meets the unique needs of our retirees.
PERACare health carriers will be changing for 2027. Kaiser will continue to be offered, but UnitedHealthcare and UMR will no longer be available. While many plan details are still being finalized, we want to give you an early heads-up, so you know what to expect before Open Enrollment begins.
What Do I Need to Do Now?
You do not need to take action at this time.
While details are still being finalized we want to assure you that you will have plenty of time to review your options before making any decisions. PERA staff does not yet have additional details beyond what is shared below but rest assured that we will provide plenty of information and guidance before any decisions need to be made.
