Webinar – HB26-1026 Preparation

With the January 1, 2027 implementation date for House Bill 26-1026 approaching, Colorado PERA hosted employer webinars to help payroll, HR, and benefits staff understand the changes and prepare for a successful transition. A video recording of the live webinar is now available. During the presentation PERA staff walked attendees through the new requirements, including the requirement to offer the PERAPlus 457 Plan and Roth options for both the 401(k) and 457 Plans, changes to enrollment and contribution modification processes, employer responsibilities, and key implementation deadlines. 

The live Q&A portion of the webinars generated valuable questions about payroll processes, reporting requirements, employee communications, and implementation planning. Those questions are helping shape additional resources that will be provided in the coming months to support a smooth rollout.
