  • Working after retirement provisions—To better understand your requirements for returning to work for a PERA employer, visit the Working After Retirement page.
  • Check abbreviations—If you see an abbreviation on your check or benefit statement that you don’t understand, view a list of abbreviations.
  • Social Security benefit reductions—Learn more about the reductions to your Social Security benefit that could apply because of your PERA membership by visiting the Social Security page.
  • 401(k) and 457 Plan enrollment—Retirees working after retirement for a PERA employer can contribute to the PERAPlus 401(k) Plan and in some cases the PERAPlus 457 Plan. Learn more.
