November 29, 2016

Primary Care PhysicianPrimary Care Physicians (PCPs)—internists and family practice physicians—care for their patients across a spectrum of services, including:

  • Being the first point of contact for undiagnosed health problems.
  • Providing comprehensive, whole-person care, including preventive care, vaccinations, and treating chronic problems.
  • Building long-term relationships with their patients.
  • Coordinating across other health services, such as specialists, hospitals, and emergency rooms.
