Primary Care Physicians (PCPs)—internists and family practice physicians—care for their patients across a spectrum of services, including:
- Being the first point of contact for undiagnosed health problems.
- Providing comprehensive, whole-person care, including preventive care, vaccinations, and treating chronic problems.
- Building long-term relationships with their patients.
- Coordinating across other health services, such as specialists, hospitals, and emergency rooms.
