As we announced in 2020, active members with an email address on file with PERA will receive their newsletters via email rather than by mail. Those who do not have an email on file with PERA will still receive printed newsletters in 2021, but we strongly encourage those members to take advantage of electronic delivery. Members with an email address on file who opt out of electronic delivery may read the newsletter at www.copera.org.
This is a tremendous opportunity for PERA to reduce printing and mailing costs while providing more customized and timely information about retirement planning.
If you haven’t provided your email address to PERA, you can sign up for electronic delivery by following these easy steps:
- Log in to your PERA account on www.copera.org by clicking the blue “Member/Retiree Login” button and entering your User ID and password. If you have not set up an online account, click “Register as a new user.” You may have to enroll in multifactor authentication if you have not logged in to your account within the past six months.
- If you need to update your email address, click “Update Contact Information” under the “My Profile” menu.
- Next, select “Electronic Delivery Options” under the “My Profile” menu.
- Check the box next to “Sign Up for Electronic Delivery” and click “Submit.”
