Colorado PERA offers a variety of educational webinars to help members understand the value of their PERA benefits. These webinars are free and take less than an hour, and you can do it from home. PERA staff also do a live Q&A session at every webinar, so this is your chance to get answers to all your PERA questions. Here are the webinars available for members at different stages in their careers:

New PERA Members

Know where to start

The journey to retirement starts from your first day on the job and we are here to help guide you. If you recently became a PERA member, there are webinars geared just for you:

• New Member Webinar: For new school district employees, judges, non-State classified employees at a university or college, and new employees at certain instrumentalities of the State (View PERA Affiliated Employers).
• Retirement Choice Webinar: For new employees with the State of Colorado, community colleges, universities, or local government employers who are required to choose between the PERA Defined Benefit (DB) Plan and the PERA Defined Contribution (DC) Plan within the first 60 days of being hired.

Mid-Career Members

Review the benefits you have

• Benefit Information Webinar: For any member who has been working at a PERA employer for a few years and who wants a refresher on PERA benefits along with helpful information on how to calculate and plan now for a PERA retirement.

Members planning to retire within two years

Find out when you can retire

• Retirement Process Webinar: For any member who has retirement in sight, this webinar will help create an action plan for the last year before retirement including a review of the application process and other tips on this important step of the PERA journey.
