Since August 2020, we have been transitioning to more of a digital environment for some of the larger printed materials such as newsletters and Annual Member Statements. This is part of the “digital first” initiative across the organization, which is not only more cost-effective, but also offers more of a dynamic user experience.
End of an Era
This is the last Member Report newsletter that will be printed and mailed. Instead, members with an email on file with PERA will begin receiving a quarterly Member Report email that’s slated to start in February 2022. At the height of its heyday, the Member Report was a 16-page, full-color magazine that provided members with insights and news about their benefits and retirement plan. Providing this information in a digital format allows us to be more creative with content and engages more with our membership.
Since the majority of our members have the capability of receiving newsletters by email, this is a tremendous opportunity for PERA to reduce printing and mailing costs while providing more customized and timely information about retirement planning.
We strongly encourage members to take advantage of electronic delivery.
Members with an email address on file who opt out of electronic delivery may still read the newsletter at www.copera.org.
If you haven’t provided your email address to PERA, you can sign up for electronic delivery by following these easy steps:
- Log into your PERA account on www.copera.org by clicking the blue “Member/Retiree Login” button and entering your User ID and password. If you have not set up an online account, click “Register as a new user.”
- If you need to update your email address, click “Update Contact Information” under the “My Profile” menu.
- Next, select “Electronic Delivery Options” under the “My Profile” menu.
- Check the box next to “Sign Up for Electronic Delivery” and click “Submit.”
