JB Phillips, a middle school Computer Science Teacher in Fruita, was elected to the PERA Board of Trustees in 2022. He began his career as a language arts teacher in 1995. Dr. Phillips also serves on the City of Grand Junction Planning Commission.

He holds a B.A. in English Education and Mass Communications from Montana State University; an M.Ed. from Lesley University; and an Ed.D. from the University of Northern Colorado.
