PERACare... a Good Choice for Public Employers

PERACare is a health benefits program that PERA-affiliated employers can join to cover their employees who are Colorado PERA members. Colorado PERA retirees also are eligible for this program. The program provides health care, dental, and vision plans. A distinguishing feature of this program is choice―more choices than many employers are able to offer on their own.

Colorado PERA makes participating in PERACare easy by providing:

Statewide coverage with Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield

Choice of plan types including HMO, PPO, and High Deductible Health Plans (HDHPs), which work with Health Savings Accounts (HSAs)

Kaiser Permanente available in Denver/Boulder and Colorado Springs

Two dental plans, an HMO available in many metro areas and a PPO available statewide

Three vision PPO plans
